I could start it but unless Bush or some other stand in Republican was to blame the topic would starve to death.

Ill save you all the work with the Cheney jokes...

So MC, what should we be talking about?

Just curious? It's news....

FAUXNews even made it a HUGE issue last night.... So they shouldn't be talking about PAINlin? She is there God! Isn't PAINlin your great white hope? YOUR savior?
If PAINlin does run in 2012 she could make it closer than anyone else the GOP has!

The feds royally screwed up the Ted Stevens case (very sloppy legal work). Then there is talk about federal indictments against Sarah Palin regarding this sports complex in Wasilla. If this is all true, I hope the feds do a much better job making a case in court that is not mired by sloppy investigative and legal work. And remember, this case would be tried in Alaska, not Washington DC. She’d have a much greater chance of finding a sympathetic jury in Alaska than Stevens did in DC. And why would Eric Holder green light such a project after the Stevens fiasco? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

In no way am I a fan of Sarah Palin. But if the feds were conducting a though review of this situation, wouldn’t a federal grand jury be reviewing this matter for possible indictment? I’m sure the media would be widely reporting the comings and goings of those being interviewed by a grand jury – or even FBI agents?

In an "exclusive", The Brad Blog is reporting that Alaskan reporter, Shannyn Moore, is now saying that federal indictments in the "iceberg scandal" may soon break "concerning use of Wasilla Sport Complex building material for Palin's home..."

Well, it's worse when that train wreck is getting in the way of what any of us think is the right policy.

That's not currently the case with Palin, and that is a great thing! If she were a more solid person, she would totally be a problem.

I give her train wreck double bonus points for that!! Why hide it?

The worst is when somebody is out there working on the right things, and then enters into train wreck mode. People still love it, but it's bitter sweet for the lack of what would otherwise be positive impact.

What she can do is raise money. And in the world of politics, that’s everything. She’s a major draw for a party and a movement that sorely needs a star. She plays well to the 23 percenters who still donate money to the GOP and other conservative groups who might ask her to speak. These folks will pay to hear her bloviate for half an hour.

In a very weird way, it makes perfect sense. She’s under the delusion she can be president. What better way to raise her profile than resign as Governor of Alaska and spend the next three years speaking to conservatives around the country. In her case, it doesn't have much to do with governance. It's about star quality. If it had ever been about governance with Sarah Palin, she would have never been chosen to run with John McCain.

You may be right missing, people do love a train wreck but as long as its on the other side of the tracks.....

I just hope it goes both ways for you.

As for Palin, I could care less. She couldnt win anything at this point. To keep talking about her is only doing her a favor.

Didnt Oscar Wilde once say that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about?

Wow, can you imagine this woman trying to cope with being vice president? She couldn't handle the pressure and got "tired of politics" while being the governor of a state with a tiny state government. How could she have handled the stress of being vice president??? Would she have resigned the first month?
